Audre Lorde
Memorial Library
The Audre Lorde Memorial Library is in honor of Audre Lorde (1934–1992) — Black lesbian poet, feminist, and activist. Lorde’s fearless advocacy for social justice, her celebration of difference, and her insistence on living authentically continue to inspire our work at the Pride Center. This library reflects her belief that knowledge, community, and self-expression are powerful tools for liberation.
Our collection includes over 1,500 books available to check out — what you see here is just a partial view. We have literature ranging from youth and YA fiction, parenting guides for LGBTQ+ families, medical manuals (including transitioning procedures), and so much more. Stop by whenever you can!

Help support the Library through our Wishlist!
We are always looking to add to our collection and would greatly appreciate any contributions from members of the community! The Pride Center often hosts book drives to help grow our available literature and we will happily take any acceptable books you are willing to share with the community.
The best way you can help support us is by clicking here to donate to our Wishlist Registry! Our Library team keeps a close eye on which books we still do not have, and our Wishlist will help community members know if anyone else has been able to help out. The Pride Center knows that the holiday season is fast approaching, and we have certainly had a busy year filled with amazing events and a beautiful new image. We would be extremely grateful for any support you can provide—donations are never mandatory but are always appreciated!
